Moleskine is the notebook for writers! Most writers keep a notebook with them to capture anything from snippets of conversations to ideas for their next story or piece.

Moleskine-style notebooks were the notebook of choice for many a famous writer, including Oscar Wilde, Jean-Paul Sartre, Ernest Hemingway and Bruce Chatwin. The modern Moleskine is also perennially popular with writers and artists. At Milligram, it’s our bestselling notebook!

Moleskine is again sponsoring the Melbourne Writers Festival (#MWF) in 2018. The festival runs from the 24 August — 2 September and features an impressive line-up of local and international writers.

Melbourne Writers Festival Milligram

This year’s Melbourne Writers Festival, headed up by new Artistic Director, Marieke Hardy, centres around ‘a matter of life and death’ and will connect writers and stories to “celebrate a world of literature, explore universal ideas, and inspire a global community of readers”.

The festival promises to be a writers festival like you’ve never seen it before — through ten days of performance, theatre, music, art and writing.

The 2018 program has launched featuring legends: Irvine Welsh, Magda Szubanski, Paul Kelly, Kathy Lette, Mara Wilson, Ronan Farrow, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Chris Fleming and so many more — there’s something for everyone.

Milligram will be hosting The Pen Hospital as part of the Ideas Hospital on Saturday 1 September, 11.30am at ACMI The Cube featuring our two expert pen doctors, Tom May and Dion Leedham, in conversation with passionate scribe, Jess McGuire.

This fun — and free — event will focus on what to do when your favourite pen breaks and tips on how to care for your beloved writing companion.Milligram pen hospital
