It might not come as a surprise that one of our favourite days of the year is… National Handwriting Day!
Although National Handwriting Day is national to the United States, it is a great day to celebrate around the world. It’s a day that celebrates, and encourages us, to put pen to paper. It falls on 23 January each year and was chosen as the birthday of John Hanock, who was the first person to sign the United States’ Declaration of Independence.
We asked our social media friends to help us celebrate National Handwriting Day by asking them: why do you love stationery — but in their handwriting! We share some of the fantastic entries with you below.
Of course we provided an incentive — a bottle of Kobe Ink Story ‘Kitanozaka Night Blue’ and a LAMY AL-star medium fountain pen in graphite. Two lucky winners were chosen on our Instagram and Facebook accounts. We recently reviewed this Kobe ink on the blog.
